There Will Be Blood was a marvellous film that dealt with the conflict between capitalism and religion as well as themes of corruption, hypocrisy and egoism.

 

Achievement in Direction

The Coen brothers made a slick and hard hitting film that portrayed the extensive violence with a mixture of explicit scenes and undertones of human barbarity.

  

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture

No Country For Old Men was a film that boasted the best performances of the year: a ruthless killer, a loyal sheriff, a persistant veteran, a naive wife and a cocky bounty hunter.
